Special Education Pedagogy:
Fundamental Requirements and Inclusive Teaching Strategies

This course will provide participants with the most fundamental and important requirements of pedagogy for students with special needs. During the course, participants will:

  • Learn how to differentiate and become familiar with the various pathologies and their characteristics.
  • Gain thorough knowledge about how different school systems across Europe respond to the challenge of inclusive teaching.
  • Collectively create ready-to-use resources, tools, and activities that engage students in a meaningful manner.
  • Review the latest methods used in the science of education on how to effectively provide a favorable inclusive environment for all students.
  • Enhance their ICT knowledge and innovate their teaching methods by creating compelling learning resources and tasks adapted to the needs of their students.

Most importantly, participants will have the opportunity to share their valuable experience and exchange best practices regarding the well-being of students with teachers and education staff from across the European Union.

  • Best practices in assessment and accountability
  • Using self-worth theory to improve and maintain motivation
  • The role of new technologies to support individualised learning

  • Space for discussion of future cooperation and planning follow up activities
